The Pleasantview Cemetery is located five miles south and one-quarter of a mile east of Paulding, Ohio, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, Latty Township. Three acres of land at this location was deeded to the township trustees by Elizabeth and Phillip Mines, August 5, 1891, and the deed is recorded in Volume 54, page 99, Paulding County Record of Deeds. This cemetery islocated on the same general tract of land on which the Blue Creek German Baptist Brethren (Dunkard) Church was formerly located. Indications are that the cemetery was established prior to the erection of the church building. The cemetery was known as the Westview Cemetery until about 1916, when the name was changed to Pleasantview. It is located only about three-quarters of a mile east of the former site of the old town of Dague on the Cincinnati Northern Railroad.
The cemetery is located in Latty Township, Paulding County, Ohio, and is # 9270 (Pleasant View Cemetery / West View Cemetery / Williamson Cemetery) in “Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003”, compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
The cemetery is registered with the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing (ODRE) as Pleasant View with registration license number CGR.0000980497.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) feature ID for the cemetery is 1044615 (Pleasant View Cemetery).
