Located within private land. No public access.
The cemetery is located in Fugit Township.
The land surrounding Kendall Cemetery was originally purchased by Noah Kendall of Gallatin County, Kentucky. The deed was November 28, 1827, for 80 acres in the amount of $200.00 as recorded in the Decatur County Office of the Recorder, Greensburg, Indiana, Book B, pages 155-156.
As in an 1880 deed dated Oct 28, 1880, located in Book 25, page 105, a tract 10 feet x 24 feet "containing five graves so long as said bodies remain buried there…" was set aside.
Over the years the cemetery site has grown larger than the 10 feet x 24 feet, yet it retains its oval/rectangular shape. Restored in 2021, the site is now clear of tree and shrub growth with tree stumps actively degrading.
