In the late 1960s to early 1970s, Dr. Allan E. Marble surveyed the majority of cemeteries in Annapolis County. At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed his survey notes and made them available on Rootsweb. However, this Langley Cemetery was not surveyed by Dr. Marble nor posted to the Rootsweb cemetery listings.

Denise J. Rice, an avid cemetery sleuth, has been following up on Dr. Marble's work, including the discovery of cemeteries which Dr. Marble did not survey. This cemetery, which she named the Langley Burial Ground, is one of the discoveries she made, after she was alerted to its existence by her husband's cousin.

In 2021, another local cemetery investigator, Steve Skafte, whose special focus is on abandoned cemeteries of Nova Scotia, photographed this Langley Cemetery. He has published his work independently online as well as giving me permission to use his information and photos on Find A Grave.

Much gratitude is due these two individuals for the countless hours they have devoted to preserving the precious memories held within cemeteries such as this Langley Cemetery.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located on the north side of Highway 201, directly behind Civic #4255. The only parking is in the driveway. So, it is best to introduce yourself at the house before visiting the cemetery, which is situated along the eastern border of the backyard.
