Upton Hall School is a Roman Catholic Convent School for girls. The school was founded in 1863 by the Society of the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). The sisterhood was founded by Madame Marie-Madeleine Victoire de Bonnault D'Houet (1781-1858) under the direction of Père Joseph Varin, SJ.
The Cemetery is located at the far end of the grounds and is surrounded by Pine Trees. The cemetery was paid for by Mr Bilsborrow and Consecrated by Monsignor Hilton. The first burial was in June 1878, and the most recent burial was on 30th March 2007.
