There was no cemetery so early in the parish, the first burials were practiced in the vicinity of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, until 1748. The first cemetery was inaugurated on 7 January 1748. Because of overcrowding, a new cemetery was opened, on rue Notre-Dame Sud, Eventually by 2004, all interments in the first cemetery were relocated to the second cemetery, Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce Cemetery.
The city of Sainte-Marie having continued to grow in population, it happened again that the cemetery found itself without any free lot. So, the cemetery had to be enlarged ... However, the government and church authorities having agreed that it was no longer appropriate to do so at this location, a new piece of land located at the end of boulevard Vachon Nord, near the septic fields, and in the year 2000, it was the opened.
