"The Junction" Cemetery is a private McKenzie family grave yard. On this rural property the Tuena Creek joins the Abercrombie River on its way to Wyangala Dam. John McKenzie Sr purchased "The Junction" in 1857 from Samuel Smith. This was home for John, his wife Ann and 12 children. As needed more rooms were added to the large house. Nearby was a chapel, general store, butcher shop, blacksmith shop, wheelwright shop, woolshed and other buildings.

"The Junction", on the Trunkey Creek/Tuena road, is immediatey on the southern side of the old bridge over the Abercrombie River. This is approximately 77 kilometres from Bathurst and 113 from Gouburn. The little cemetery is 200 -300 meters east of the homestead.
