This cemetery has several beautiful monuments belong to the Townsend, Gray and Seay Families. It is thought to be an African American. Only visible proof is the Royal Funeral Home Marker for Lloyd Seay who died in 1984. Otherwise this cemetery has been abandoned for more than 70 years. It sits between two subdivisions with beautiful homes, but abandoned in a brush thicket. One monument for Charles Townsend 1863 - 1925 is quite large standing about 10 feet high and 5 feet wide with about a one foot of thickness. When I arrived I found several monuments turned over and one broken in need of gluing back together. I stood the fallen ones back up which best I could and made photos. It is called the Seay Cemetery on mapping but the Townsend & Gray families monuments are more prominent here than the Seay family. There are several other Seay Cemeteries in the nearby area.
