Located on the lands of Janes Island State Park in an area known as Daugherty Town. Near the home of N. Ward on the 1877 Atlas of the Eastern Shore. North of the town of Crisfield and on the south side of Alfred J. Lawson Rd., leading into the Janes Island State Park, in a wooded area overgrown with vines and briars. Located within the bounds of a tract of land called “Cork” (Corke) patented by William Stevens and assigned to Cornelius Ward on 12 Sept. 1678. Three unmarked burials were found with no headstones. Surveyed with permission from the park service in 1994 by Rebecca F. Miller and Phil Goldsborough. The site is very overgrown at this time.
