This cemetery is located across the road from a large "barn looking" home. There is a heavy pipe gate that is locked and the cemetery is located about 50 feet to the left of the gate and 20 feet from the road. There is no signage and it is not fenced separately from the pasture. Cows are allowed to roam the property. There were 5 visible stones in 2017, and they were photographed.
The cemetery is supposed to be the "Reed Cemetery" but "Prewitts" were also buried on the property. Before WWII it was fenced with iron railings but during the war the fence was removed and sold for scrap metal. One headstone is for a Wilder. It is believed that some unmarked graves for early slaves are in the cemetery, and one field stone was found.
An Earlier transcription of this cemetery showed the following people buried in Reed:
James Prewitt April5, 1875 - July 10, 1876
W.P. Prewitt - footstone
Wilder Prewitt - Dec 28, 1872 - Aug 23, 1877
Nancy Prewitt Feb 28, 1802 - Sept. 21, 1870
