Note: These graves have been disinterred; no record found yet as to where they went.
This church was originally organized as the Greenville Methodist Church and was one of the oldest churches in the city; it’s history dating back to 1844-45. When the church moved to its new location in 1888 the old edifice on this site was renamed Bamber Hall. Information is sparse; however, it is believed that the cemetery was demolished in the late 1940’s or early 1950’s. The new church edifice was erected just a few block away on the corner of Linden and Ocean Avenues; however, today that church no longer exists. The cemetery contained the graves of five Civil War veterans. It is unknown at this time if or where the remains were re-interred.
