According to the Chronicle of Fortingall, religious worship "was haldin and begwn at the Kenmor’ at the end of Loch Tay for the first time on 15 July 1575, and stopped at Inchaiden ‘quhar it was wynt tilbe haldin." Inchadney (or Inchadin) is also known as the Old Church of Kenmore. It was situated on the north bank of the river Tay just west of Taymouth Castle. According to CANMORE, "The graveyard, enclosed by a stone wall, the foundations of which may still be traced, was about 400 yds or 500 yds south of a holy well at the foot of a high bank and at the edge of Poll Tairbh."
