In 1853 the Panteón de Nuestra Señora de la Regla, known as Panteón de La Regla, was built. It was destined to house relatives of the wealthy classes, since humble families were buried in the Panteón de La Merced. The pantheon of La Regla was closed in 1885, but some burials were carried out with special permits for some people.
The pantheon was totally destroyed in the middle of the 20th century to build the Revolution park. The remains of some fugues that were in the pantheon, were transferred to the rotunda of the Illustrious Chihuahuenses.
The bodies buried there were transferred to the Pantheon of Dolores and the Municipal Cemetery.
