The Cemetery of St Kastor/Castor Katholisch Parish in Mörsdorf (also Moersdorf)dates back in documentation to the church in Mörsdorf listed in the directory of archiepiscopal rights from about 1220. The present day cemetery is part of an ensemble of church building, old graveyard and rectory. The cemetery sits at Kirchstraße 15 in Mörsdorf.
The present parish church of St. Castor/Kastor to Mörsdorf was completed in 1768 after the foundation stone was laid on 6 April 1767. The architect/builder of the church was Paul Stähling from Strasbourg who had already done the construction of the parish churches in Senheim and Mittelstrimmig.
A new church building was necessary in 1768 because the old church was over 400 years old (before 1368) and had been in disrepair. The replacement church was built in Baroque, aisleless style.
Three historic grave crosses are prominent, 1622, 1806, 19th century; further wayside and grave crosses which also memorialize important local events, are from 1680, 17th and 18th centuries.
