Directions from City of Evergreen: Go south on CR29 for two miles. Turn right onto CR-25 and drive another four miles. Turn left onto an unpaved road. The cemetery is approximately 200 yards on the left. Note: While these directions are fairly accurate, it should be noted that it lies on private property behind a locked barricade. From the township of Castleberry: Leave Hwy-31 and turn east onto CR-6. After about ¾ miles and having crossed Murder Creek, turn left onto CR-25. Stay on CR-25 for about six miles and turn onto a barricaded dirt road. The cemetery is at the top of the hill on the left.

The cemetery is large, covering about 1 ½ acre of ground. Unidentified markers are scattered throughout, many being no more than large sandstone rocks, broken piles of brick, or concrete markers with no name. Beyond the fence is part of the original Old Sparta Hill Cemetery. Those individual names were taken from church burial records and are noted in a survey performed by Joyce Wainwright in September of 2003, which identifies 106 graves. On Monday, January 20, 2014 another survey was performed by Darryl Searcy and photographs were made of visible headstones, but only 39 individuals could be positively identified.
