General description: Located near the communities of Upper Fairmount and Manokin and near the north side of the Great Annemessex River. Fairmount Election District #6 (1877). Near the home of Dr. R. R. Ballard and F. S. Lockerman on the 1877 Atlas. Probably located on a tract of land called Waters River patented to William Waters in 1663 for 1280 Acres. Close to the boundary of another tract called Salem patented to John Waters in 1750 for 490 Acres. In a woods 100 feet west of a small cove making out of the said river on a high piece of ground overgrown with small pines and briars. Two large oak trees are located in this burial site which appear to be 4 feet in diameter probably over 150 years old.
Waters River, was known in 20th Century as the old Cornog farm. May be on Salem tract.
