Located on the former Spire and Rebecca McIntosh Hagerty plantation within the W. Payne Survey in Eastern Harrison County, Texas. The approximate location within the survey is .5 miles east of Hagerty Creek and .5 miles south of the Old Peters Chapel location on Peters Chapel Road. A grave count is impossible to determine on a casual visit. There are three marked graves. Three other graves were found marked by old rusted funeral home markers. The Cemetery could be also called Peters Chapel or the Hagerty Family Slave Cemetery. See Hagerty Family Cemetery. Survey and information provided by Charles A. Steger of Atlanta, TX. There are no GPS coordinates of the cemetery. The cemetery is hidden deep in the woods on private land where oil companies drill.
