Pittsylvania Plantation Cemetery
Unmarked Graves surrounded by a stone wall in a wooded area. Approximately 70 Carter family members are buried in the cemetery. Family members from “Rosefield”, “Red Hill”, “Bleak Hill”, & “Hillwood”farms also buried here (per A. L. Henry, Letter of 10-12-1927). Stone wall built by Edwin Carter & A. Henry in 1885. Restored by National Park Service in 1995.
