The location of this cemetery in Canterbury has not been determined. It is not found in the New Hampshire Old Graveyard Association data base, or at least not under the name Hoag. The existence of this cemetery comes from the will of Isaac Hoag (Jr.) (1794-1849), who directed his nephew, Isaac Jr. (son of Benjamin), “to build a good substantial stone wall around my burying ground … and erect good slate and marble grave stones to my own grave and the graves of my father and my mother and sisters.” The subject Isaac was disinterred in 1905 and moved to Maple Grove Cemetery in Canterbury, but it is not known if other members of his family were moved as well.

Sincere thanks to Linda Longley for providing the details identifying this cemetery. She will be publishing a book on the Langley/Longley family in 2018.
