The Ogden Family Graveyard is located on the land that was the original farm of Rev. Benjamin Ogden, a Methodist minister who moved to Arkansaw Territory in 1817 and died in 1837. His wife, Susan Moore Ogden, willed her right of preemption to purchase the land from the government to her daughter, Cynthia Ogden Dettenheim. Cynthia bought this land between 1846 and 1854. The legal description is:

SW/4 of SW/4
SW/4 of NW/4
NE/4 or SW/4
of Section 29, Township 17 South, Range 14 West.

The graveyard has two marked graves, Isaac and Milinda Ogden. The stones stood until 1985, when a logging company broke both markers at the base while cutting timber. Mr. Ervin Tucker grew up on the property, and states that the three deep cavernous holes, all about 2-3 feet wide and over six feet long, are other unmarked graves.
