This Cemetery gets it name from Dykeman Henderson who lived there in years past.

There are 17 obvious graves in this cemetery and there are undoubtedly a number of other graves that escape detection. The first recorded grave in this cemetery is that of Robert McCay , who died in 1891. His wife Frances is also buried here and she predeceased him although her date of death is not known. In all probability there were earlier interments at this site.

This cemetery has been entirely unmaintained for many years and is almost totally grown up in bushes band small trees. Its very existence is threatened by the very deep sand pit that borders it on two sides. It is inevitable that at some point in the future that the unstable banks of the sand pit will erode and the whole cemetery, graves and all, will fall into the bottom of the pit.

Although this cemetery is on privately-owned property, access is assured to descendants of Nancy Henderson through a provision in the deed to the properly. The property is owned by McCrea Farms of Shannon.
