This cemetery was located on John Aycock's plantation. The brick house just north of the cemetery is on the exact spot where Johns large plantation house stood. The brick home was Clifford and Willie Mae Aycock's home. Entrance to the cemetery can be obtained from the drive at this house.
In the late 1980's Clifford and Willie Mae took me "Barry Uptain" through the cemetery and gave me a hand drawn map of the cemetery with names and dates that included the unmarked graves. The dates and locations for the unmarked graves came from a family bible. There is some misinformation on the map. Euginia Aycock is listed as Eugene a male.
John also had a cotton gin on the property. Clifford said it was one of the first cotton gins in the area.
