This small family cemetery is located in the field behind the home at the above address. There are 5 grave markers visible. The cemetery is enclosed with a decorative iron fence about 5 feet high that is in good condition, the gate is on the east side. Outside of that fence is a second one made of chain link. It is eight feet high and sits on top of a 1 to 2 foot concrete wall, the gate is on the north side. The outside dimensions are about 45 x 70 feet. To get to the cemetery you must walk through the cow pastures and scale 3 board fences. The gate in the chain link fence is damaged but can be opened.
Within the cemetery there are several Ailanthus altissima trees, some tall shrubs, wild blackberry, and a groundcover vine that has blanketed the entire area.
The stones face west rather than the usual eastern facing orientation seen in other cemeteries.
Information on George Farrow's involvement with the building of the Virginia Blue Ridge Railroad between 1850 - 1857 is detailed in the book The Virginia Blue Ridge Railroad by Mary Lyons, published 2015, The History Press, Charleston, SC.
