The Williams Cemetery is situated in a field on a dirt path approximately 1/4 mile off of Fortsville Road (#612). Going east, the dirt path to the cemetery, is on the right side of Fortsville Road approximately four miles from the junction of Fortsville Road and Grizzard Road. There were originally five graves in this cemetery; however, today, there only two graves. The following three graves were removed a few years ago and were re-interred in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery, Chesapeake, Virgininia. Those removed were:
1. George Franklin Williams (1872-1957).
2. Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Jarratt Williams (1880-1924). Mary was spouse of George Williams
3. David Lewis "Capt Buck" Williams (1874-1940)."Capt Buck" was the brother of George Williams
Two Williams descendants were there as witnesses for the removal of these three graves. It really was an experience that you don't forget.
