150 yards west of the Courthouse square, on private road, in Lovingston, Virginia.

On a sloping hill to the south of the house is the old Burial ground. The Peoples and Pamplin graveyard is enclosed with a nice wire fence and is well kept. There are flowers and boxwood here and three and a few small shade trees. Outside of this enclosure is another large graveyard, covered with honeysuckle and briars, and several large trees. There are approximately 12 or 15 graves and a few stones of rough rock, but no inscriptions on them. No one seems to know who is buried here, probably the Cutler’s or some of the first inhabitants of Lovingston, Virginia.

The above description of the location was copied from the WPA Survey on Feb. 21, 1938. It was done by Annie L. Harrower of Shipman, this was accessed from the Library of Virginia digital archives.
