This Linson Cemetery, also known as the Linson Burying Ground, was located near a settlement of the Linson Pioneers who settled in this location and shared land with local Native Americans.
Its location on Paint Creek is 1.5 miles from the nearest road. The above street address will take you to the local farmer who owns the land. An access road heading straight east from there will take you to Paint Creek, then turn North and go to the top of the hill.
The cemetery is now heavily wooded and many grave stones are visible. See the attached photo for those buried there.
The cemetery is located in Stokes Township, Madison County, Ohio, and is # 7178 (Linson Cemetery) in “Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003”, compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
