Civil District 01. Map . Parcel . Size . From Gainesboro take Hwy 53 toward Celina. Turn left on Hwy 56 crossing Cumberland River going toward North Springs. After crossing bridge, turn first right on Big Bottom Road. The cemetery is located at the second bottom up (Harvey Turner Bottom) which is directly across from Ernest Long's old home. The cemetery was located close to the Cumberland River per Mr. Eugene Locke to Larry Mabry & Suzanna Mitchell May 2001.

This cemetery was located across the Cumberland River from Gainesboro at the mouth of Roaring River on the Old Locke Farm at what was then Locke Bottom. It has been plowed under but was described by Eugene Lock as a good size cemetery with many field stones. Efforts continue in determining its precise location.

James Travis Anderson great-grandson of David Liles, in two autobiographical accounts says the cemetery was on the
bank of the Cumberland River directly across from the mouth of Roaring River. This is the Harvey Turner Bottom and
where Mr. Lock said it was located. David Liles [sic] Lyles served in the American Revolution and is listed in the book
Revolutionary War Patriots Buried in Tennessee. His Pension Application is in the name of David Liles
