The Belmont House, that was formerly near this site, was used as a Confederate Hospital during the Civil War. There are 25-30 unmarked graves of soldiers who died here.

The cemetery directions provided are:
56E (8.2 miles), to right on Rt. 722 (Williamstown Road) for 3.8 miles, to site on right in open area by the rpad; sign reads: CONFEDERATE GRAVEYARD 1862, with a tall white obelisk
