Listed in "Talladega County, Alabama Tombstone Inscriptions of All Known Cemeteries 1700's to 1987", Vol. I, c. 1989 by Joseph W. & Francis S. Upchurch, as "Chinnabee Cemetery... near the second Bethlehem Meth. Ch. site called "Chinnabee". At present, the prop. is known as the Joe Armbrester [1836-1910] place."
"Historic Tales of Talladega', c. 1959 by E. Grace Jemison, reflects Bethlehem Church was organized by Judge Leonard Tarrant, a Methodist minister, in 1843. The congregation was drawn from the Chinnabee Camp Ground membership, also organized by Judge Tarrant, which first appeared on the record in 1837.
The property, T18S-R6E-S13, has been in the Haynes Family for four generations. Current owner reports the church congregation moved to another location in the 1890's. Three Veterans Administration (VA) headstones present were said to have been placed upon confederate veteran's graves about a decade ago.
