This abandoned cemetery is located in a wooded area at the end of Constance Avenue. Close to the intersection of Mercury Street and Constance Avenue in Bartlett, TN.
There are only unmarked graves, except two bases and a partial concrete-lined plot. This burial ground began as a slave graveyard on the farm of Major Benajah Taylor for the servants of the Ward and Taylor families.
The Ben Miller Family deeded this cemetery to the First Baptist Church (African-American congregation) March 30, 1914. The property was Quit Claimed to Bartlett Colored Cemetery Trust on March 12, 1983.
