Mathias Wisner patented a 368 acre tract he called "Wisner's Prospect" in 1774. He established a family burial plot there somewhere around 1800.
Wisner's Prospect was located near a village called Black Rock, which no longer exists.

The current landowner reports that when his family bought the property the cemetery was overgrown and in bad disrepair, parts of the stone wall had collapsed, and the cemetery had been vandalized because many stones were missing or in pieces. The family of the current landowner restored the wall surrounding the cemetery, cleared away the brush, reset the stones that are still there, and is still using the cemetery.

The cemetery is situated on private property and not available for viewing. Descendants of the Wisners are grateful for the care taken of the cemetery and for allowing the sharing of these photographs.
