The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on August 8, 1967. Per his usual custom, he did not give the cemetery a name but assigned it an identifying number, in this case 53, and cited the location as Mount Hanly. Note: The correct spelling of the community name is Mount Hanley.
At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed his original survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. At that time, the volunteers named it "Slocomb Cemetery" and cited Dr. Marble's incorrectly spelled location, Mount Hanly.
DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located on the south side of Brown Road, in the center of a field east of the driveway to Civic #324.
