This family plot is thought to have existed on the Wiley farm a couple miles northeast of Highland on Hwy. County "I." Oral history indicates in the early 1970's there was at least one tombstone leaning up against the windmill near the farm buildings on the Wiley farm. However, the person's name and dates on the stone have been forgotten. Recent investigation indicates the tombstone has disappeared.
According to an older cemetery listing there is a Henry Wiley who died in 1862 and buried in Highland Public Cemetery, but his wife May is not. Conjecture has it the tombstone on the farm may have been for her.
However, that Henry does not appear on Find A Grave in Highland, only Henry 1862-1949. Lewis (1818-1905) and Mary (nee Snider) Wiley (1834-1909) are buried at Highland Public Cemetery. It may be a child or children of theirs who are buried on the Wiley farm.
