The Church of the Brethren in Niesky was built in 1874/75 to replace a Moravian Baroque church hall built in 1756. The congregation members are buried in simple white coffins in the cemetery following a procession from the church hall on Zinzendorfplatz. The main path separates the cemetery into two halves. To the right are the resting places of the sisters and to the left the brothers. The dead are buried according to the order of their death under simple, ground level slabs. The first row of the oldest grave stones have been uncovered and restored. The grave of the founder of Niesky, Johann Raschke is in the cemetery.
