From old Route 422 outside of Womelsdorf after the Marion
Township line on the first farm on left or the south side of
West High Street. Site is next to the west property line of 702 right next to the fence approximately 72' in from the edge of West High Street. Size: Small
History: Supposedly only one Indian buried on site. Known as
Old Toby, he died in November, 1802, found dead in a barn
where Fischer's Mill now (1873) stands. Toby, according to his own recollection was born in the Blue Mountains in the
vicinity of Hamburg, his parents had been full-blooded
Delaware. When he was about 10, he was separated from his
parents, never to see or hear from them again. He liked living in the Womelsdorf area and was trusted and loved by the paleface. Ref.: Translated from the 5th Volume of Der
