History: Site was started by the early families of Cumru Township. Some of the later funerals were from Riehm's Tavern on Lancaster
Avenue. Still later church services were held on this site. A picture of this graveyard was included in a Shillington anniversary program.
~ In an abstract of Berks Co. Wills George Breninger was a witness for Nicholas Gauer of Cumru Twp. & Heinrich Ochs was an apprentice of Valentine Straub and was buried near Riehm's Tavern at Cumru Union. This is probably the Jones #2 cemetery for none of the burials are in Yocom records. Bones which were removed when digging a basement are stored in Governor Mifflin Science Lab.

Gravemarkers and inscriptions: One stone built into wall in yard.

Observations: Owner will not acknowledge graveyard even though bones were found when they put in a basement.
