The Jolly Waggoners' Hotel operated at Eyre Creek, Southland, from 1863 until the early 1870s. Four people were buried in a gravesite on the opposite side of the road to the hotel around this time.

There is a memorial cairn to those buried on State Highway 6, close to the graves. The gravesite itself is now surrounded by a wooden fence.

The graves are just south of the Jollies Hill Pass, which is named after the hotel. It is commonly known as the Jollies.
