Rockland Township: From eastern end of Pricetown Rd. at New Jerusalem, bear left to Henry Rd., .7 mile to Schweitz Rd., .4 mile to Ruppert Schoolhouse, then left still on Schweitz Rd .. 7 mile and left again .2 mile to dirt lane on left leading to former Zimmerman property, past the power line. The barn has a datestone of 1869 for John & Annie Stern. Size: irregular
History: In an undated newspaper clipping in the Jones Scrapbook (See HSBC), two graves, presumably of Herman Zimmerman and wife, were visible about 1900 within 120 foot square enclosure on the Zimmerman homestead behind the original Ruppert schoolhouse (now in ruins). The original log house burned and a new house was built on the foundation. (The stone fire place from the old house still stands in the side yard. The chain of title shows that in a PennFamily/Commonwealth Warrant Herman Zimmerman Sr. and then
Jr. owned land in this area of Rockland and 2 tracts of this was broken up and Adam Ruppert received one. The location of this site was reported by LM, p. 262.
Gravemarkers and inscriptions: No stones visible.
