Search Cokesbury Methodist Episcopal Church:

Flat, marble headstone found upon construction for sidewalk south side of Second Street, west of Green Street, in Marcus Hook Borough, Wednesday, August 30, 1933. The lunch room tenant in the former stable of Heritage-Spransy stated it had been dug up just back (south) of the lunch room (1933), and laid in the sidewalk area prior to this time. There were two pieces of marble, the other one blank.

When Sun Oil Company bought the lot next to the Spransy property in 1915, from the Cokesbury M.E. Church and
situate(d) at the southeasterly corner of Second Street and the former Larkin Avenue, they removed a small cemetery from the sit to point unknown, but which can be determined.
