Brief description from a memorial plaque at the cemetery:
"In Honour of the Irish Workers. This half-acre cemetery became the final resting place for many Irish immigrants who died at Chaffey's Mills during construction of the Rideau Canal."

This cemetery is accessed via a small, winding path to the left of Brown's Marina.

There are about 32 rough fieldstones which may have once had names scratched on them, but no writing is now visible. There is also a tall monument for Mary Anne Chaffey, two rough stones for her husbands, and an upright monument for James Sansom.

Please note that due to the long grass and weeds throughout, full leg covering is recommended when visiting this cemetery.
