Goshen Baptist Cemetery

1451 West Chester Pike
West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 19382 USA
Memorials 184 added (85% photographed)

Goshen Baptist Church was founded in 1827 and a church building erected at the intersection of Strasburg Road and the West Chester Pike. At that time, a cemetery was laid out on that property. The church expanded over the years, and 63 graves were moved in 1957 to accommodate new construction.

In 1968, the church had outgrown its home, and a new lot near Milltown was purchased for a new building. With aid from the Joseph E. Boyd Funeral Home, 172 graves were dug up and the individuals reinterred on the new property. The original stones were erected.

Today the graveyard is enclosed by a chain-link fence at the rear of the church property, behind the playground.
