The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on May 22, 1967. He noted the name of the cemetery as "Parker Mountain Cemetery" and assigned it an identifying number, in this case 42, and a location, Parker's Cove.

At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble's survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb and, at that time, the volunteers named it "Parker Mountain Cemetery" and cited the location as Parker Cove.

It should be noted that neither "Parker's Cove" nor "Parker Cove" is considered the official spelling of the community according to the GeoNAMES database at GeoNOVA, which maintains official names in its database. The official spelling of the name is "Parkers Cove" without the apostrophe.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located on the east side of Parker Mountain Road, directly across from Civic #1129, the Parker's Cove Baptist Church.
