In 2009, Cardinal Joseph Zen Ze-kiun SDB., shortly before his retirement as Ordinary of the Diocese of Hong Kong, had a crypt constructed beneath the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in which he had transferred the remains of his predecessors Bishops Raimondi, Valtorta, Pozzoni, Hsu and Lei from the local St. Michael's Cemetery, followed by those of Bishops Bianchi and Piazzoli from Italy in 2014 and ultimately those of Cardinal Wu from the said St. Michael's after the stipulated period allowing one's exhumation was surpassed.
