There were two Jewish cemeteries located in Winschoten.

The older one was located on Liefkensstraat. This cemetery was purchased in 1785 and was used until 1828. The cemetery fell into disrepair; most of the wooden matsevahs disintegrated. The land was sold in 1969 with 54 remains reburied in a collective grave at the Sint Vitusholt cemetery.

In 2016, another 19 graves were discovered during excavation work for a sewer. After consultation with the chief rabbi, the municipality of Oldambt decided to leave the area undisturbed. The area is redesigned as a park with a fence that marks the site of the Jewish cemetery.

The second of two cemeteries in Winschoten, established in 1828 with the last burial in 1989. Located adjacent to the municipal cemetery.
