The easiest of directions is coming from New Castle on Route 18, then make a right on to Halltown Road. Continuing up the road about 3/5 of a mile you will bypass 376. After bypassing 376 and on your left you will (almost immediately) find a private driveway (Please do NOT pull in to this driveway or trespass on the property. It is a PRIVATE driveway and PRIVATE property.) and following the private property you will immediately find a wooded lot. In this wooded lot about 75 to 100 feet back you will find Hall's Cemetery.
The cemetery has been all but forgotten except for a few handful of people who seek to find an ancestor, who has been buried in the cemetery. The VFW has not forgotten the veterans, who have been buried in this cemetery, as volunteers place American flags on the graves of the vets each Memorial Day.
Many of the gravestones have gone missing over the generations. Now one has to climb through brush and weeds to visit the few graves still identified with a headstone.
Several years ago Dwight Cooper transcribed the cemetery. In the booklet you can also find obits of others who was buried in Hall's cemetery, but currently the location of the graves is unknown.
