Information has been handed down for generations in Blue Grass community that these two graves are for Michael Arbogast & his wife Mary the pioneers of the Arbogast family in the area that became Highland County. Mortons History of Highland states Michael arrived in the Crabbottom area c. 1766. At that time the land was in Augusta County. In 1787 the land became part of Pendleton County, Virginia and in 1847 Highland.
