Budd Family Burying Ground
"The principal burying-ground of the BUDD family is said to be situated near the shore of the creek, on the Jay property, which they formerly owned."
Source: Chronicle of a Border Town: History of Rye, Westchester County, New York, 1660-1870, including Harrison and the White Plains till 1788, by Charles Washington Baird, 1871, page 198.
An alternate source places the Budd Family Burial Ground at an unknown site on Hen Island to the south.

NOTE — There is no burial register for this cemetery, or other known surviving record, such as a gravestone or cemetery visitation.
Presently, the residual portion of The Jay Property consists of 23 acres in Rye which were once part of an expansive 400 acre farm which also included Marshlands Conservancy.
The precise location of the Budd Burying Ground on the former Jay property is uncertain.
