Butler & Cruze Cemetery is located on a hill above the Smith Chapel Church shelter house. It is on the Dixon family property, western Pike County. There are 8 large fieldstones that are completely illegible. It appears there must have been some kind of plague or something that all these small children died. The Beekman cemetery and this one are not far from each other at all.

The cemetery is located in Mifflin Township, Pike County, Ohio, and is # 9758 (Shanks Cemetery) in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
