The village of Yealand Conyers lies about a mile to the west of the A6, about 3 miles to the north of Carnforth and to the south of Milnthorpe. The meeting house is situated half a mile up the hill from the New Inn and a couple of hundred yards down the hill from the Anglican church. The meeting house was built in 1692 and has the date over the door. The meeting house has a graveyard in which two Eddingtons, possible relations of Sir Arthur 'Stanley' Eddington, OM are buried; their gravestone was previously thought incorrectly to be a memorial for Sir Arthur 'Stanley' Eddington, OM.
