Graywood Community Cemetery

At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble's survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. At that time, the volunteers named it "Community Cemetery" but, in the Rootsweb cemetery index, they listed the name simply as "Community". They recorded the location as Graywood.
Dr. Marble transcribed 16 headstones containing 36 inscriptions. The oldest identifiable stone is from 1927. At the time of his survey, Dr. Marble noted that the cemetery was in good condition.
Although Dr. Marble's handwritten survey notes list 16 headstones, the Rootsweb rendition of this cemetery includes a 17th headstone containing two additional transcriptions for Harris Gordon Sibbins and his wife Daisy Iola Sibbins. Those two additional headstones do exist in the cemetery, but the reason for the discrepancy between Dr. Marble's notes and the Rootsweb cemetery listing is something of a mystery.
DIRECTIONS: This cemetery is located on the west side of Highway 8, between Civic #7719 and #7595. The cemetery is fenced with a gate on the left side of the fence. An attractive sign is located in front of the fence at about midpoint.
