In 1919 this cemetery was replaced by the Auburndale cemetery
The plaque at the cemetery reads: Robert Irving (b. 1860) originally of Scotland, came to Alberta from Iowa and was in failing health when he homesteaded the adjacent SW quarter. He died that same year and, in fulfillment of his wish to be buried near his land, was buried on this NW quarter. His wife returned to Scotland. The name of others resting here are Robert May, Robert Irving's mother, Jane (Mrs. John) Irving, Archibald May, Infant Netta Irving (daughter of George Irving). This cemetery is still cared for by members of the family and by the community. In 1919 the Mount Auburn cemetery was established southeast of this location.
